Reservoirs
As well as waterproofing properties, products designed for protecting water-retaining structures for drinking water applications need to meet additional requirements.
Requirements for Waterproofing Water-Retaining Structures
Safe for use in contact with drinking water (UK Government Approved)
High resistance to leaching
Protection from infection
Resistant to attack from condensate
Smooth, easily cleaned surface
Drybase Tanking Slurry meets the above criteria and is BBA-approved for waterproofing drinking water facilities worldwide.
The Drybase range has applications in refurbishing existing reservoirs / water tanks as well as waterproofing new-build constructions. In refurbishment applications, Drybase Universal Mortar can be used to provide a sound substrate. A waterproof coating such as Drybase Tanking Slurry is then applied.
Drybase products are also available for protecting other water-retaining structures such as swimming pools and sewers / sewage treatment structures.
The Vandex Concrete Repair System provides a systematic procedure for concrete repair. The system consists primarily of cementitious materials which are homogeneous with concrete (strength, modulus of elasticity, thermal movement).
