White cream
1 coat at 4 - 5 m2 per litre
Up to 10 years (with regular maintenance)
Roxil Wood Protection Cream provides long-lasting protection to softwoods in a single coat. It mitigates the negative effects of water ingress by weatherproofing the surface of timber. The product is applied directly to the wood by brush or roller.
Mould and algae requires moisture to grow.
An application of Roxil Wood Protection Cream will keep the surface of softwoods and weathered hardwoods dry.
This makes it much harder for mould and algae to grow. Any minor surface growth can be easily cleaned using Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner.
Roxil Wood Protection Cream is a colourless weatherproofer for softwoods and weathered hardwoods. Once applied, the advanced silicone cream formula absorbs into the wood and stops the ingress of moisture on wood.
The unique cream formula of Roxil Wood Protection Cream allows for more even loading than liquid weatherproofers and does not does not drip or run, meaning only a single coat needs to be applied by brush or roller.
This movement can lead to wooden structures cracking and warping. By waterproofing the wood, Roxil Wood Protection Cream will greatly reduce water ingress and minimise the expansion that causes wood to crack and warp.
Roxil Wood Protection Cream is a colourless weatherproofer. Once fully cured, Roxil will enhance the natural appearance of wood without adding a stain or sheen. It will also slow down the silvering process that occurs due to UV exposure.
Ensure that the surface to be treated is dry and clear of debris. If it is affected by biological growth it is recommended to clean using Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner.
Apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream directly to the treatment area with a brush or roller, making sure to distribute it in an even and thin coat.
Leave the cream to absorb into the wood for at least 24 hours, until it appears dry. This may take longer on cold winter days. See the technical datasheet for more information.

Can I apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream on hard wood decking that has been treated 2 month ago with Osmo decking oil, if yes will it be still effective without striping Osmo decking oil ?
Hi Irina,
Thank you for your enquiry.
If you wish to apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream, then all previous coatings will need to be removed. This includes paints and oils etc.
This is advised because coatings such as paint and oils will prohibit the Wood Protection Cream from being able to penetrate into the timber.
I hope this helps, if you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us directly.
Kind regards,
Mollie

I have just applied 3 coats of your coloured wood preserver , is this waterproof in any way ?
Is the cream then a further waterproofing and does it enhance the red cider colouring I put down .
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your question.
Roxil Coloured Wood Preserver does not waterproof wood, so we recommend overcoating it.
Applying Roxil Wood Protection Cream waterproofs outdoor wood for maximum protection to increase its working lifetime. It invisibly protects the non-fade finish of Roxil Coloured Wood Preserver.
Give us a call on 01403 210204 with any other questions and we'll be happy to advise you further.
Should I apply Roxil Wood Preserver before applying Roxil Wood Protection Cream?
Roxil Wood Preserver is a Preserve product, the 2nd step in the full Roxil Wood Treatment process:
1. Clean with Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner or Roxil Wood Scrub Gel
2. Defend against wood-rotting fungi and woodworm with Roxil Wood Preserver
3. Waterproof with Roxil Wood Protection Cream
Can I paint over Roxil Wood Protection Cream?
For additional colours, we recommend applying Roxil Coloured Wood Preserver in your chosen tone at least 24 hours prior to Roxil Wood Protection Cream application.
You cannot paint over Roxil Wood Protection Cream.
How can I avoid mould growing after applying Roxil Wood Protection Cream?
Before applying Roxil Cream, we recommend initially cleaning the wood with a cleaner such as Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner this is particularly important for new, planed wood.
Consideration should also be given to priming the surface with Roxil Wood Preserver for increased protection against mould, rot and staining. This should be applied in accordance with the application guidelines and the wood allowed to dry for at least 24 hours before applying Roxil Wood Protection Cream.
To remove the mould we suggest that the following steps are carried out:
1. Sand down the affected areas - this will remove the existing coating and most of the discolouration from mould. The wood is likely to be lighter in colour than the main body of the shed following sanding.
2. Use Dryzone Mould Eliminator for spot cleaning on stubborn black marks. Follow the application guidelines and allow the wood to dry down and remove/wipe down any residues.
3. Apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream to the affected area once clean and dry.
Can I apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream to painted wood?
You cannot apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream to painted wood. The paint needs to be removed first. Always follow the Preparation instructions on the Technical Datasheet.

Can I apply 2 coats of Wood Protection Cream? Water beads, but if I rub it, it temporarily discolors the wood (like it penetrated the coating).
