Dryzone Fast-Set Renovation Plaster

  • Sets in just 2 hours

  • Breathable - allows walls to dry naturally

  • Controls dampness and salt migration

  • Natural cement base

Dryzone Fast-Set Damp-Resistant Renovation Plaster contains natural cement and special additives for high-performance damp control and salt migration prevention. The high breathability of the plaster ensure that it dries in just 2 hours. Dryzone Fast-Set Plaster has a porous structure to ensure that moisture vapour continues to flow through the wall.

Replaster after rising damp treatment, with Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream or Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods, in traditional or heritage buildings.

Dryzone Fast-Set Damp-Resistant Renovation Plaster was specially developed to set faster than competing renovation plasters. Its porous structure allows moisture to evaporate from walls, achieving a dry decorative surface.

Customer Questions

David Clark

Two Dryzone coats have been applied and dried.
Intend using a Thistle multi coat finish.
Can I apply a PVA / water mix beforehand ?

Teigan Mitchell at Safeguard Europe

Good morning,

Thank you for your question.

Dryzone® Damp-Resistant Fast-Set Plaster should be left for a minimum of 4 hours before applying a standard gypsum skim coat to a thickness of approximately 2 mm. In particularly cold or damp conditions, or for plaster thicker than 20 mm, the drying time of Dryzone® Damp-Resistant Fast-Set Plaster will be extended and application of the skim coat should be delayed. Rapid drying out of the plaster should be avoided.

For particularly high suction or dry backgrounds, first wet down the surface using clean water. Do not use other additives such as PVA.

We hope this helps and if you have any further questions, please contact us directly.

Kind regards,
Teigan
