Roxil Wood Protection Liquid is a colourless liquid water repellent for use on outdoor timber¹. Apply with a brush or spray to make the wood's surface hydrophobic and protected from moisture damage.
Outdoor timber is hard to keep in good condition. Moist and damp conditions degrade wood in a relatively short space of time. Most protection treatments involve staining or completely covering wood's natural beauty.
Roxil Wood Protection Liquid is a colourless water repellent specially optimised for protecting vulnerable absorbent wood such as softwood timber and weathered hardwoods. Roxil-protected wood shows no colour or texture change and is fully waterproof. This keeps the wood cleaner and reduces the rate of discolouration.
After application by brush or spray, wood protected with Roxil will show no colour or texture change but the surface will be water-repellent. This will protect the wood from moisture ingress, keeping the wood cleaner and reducing the rate of discolouration.
Moist wood expands.
Wooden structures are vulnerable to the forces created by this expansion; leading to warped or broken sections of wood.
An unprotected timber [1] structure has a far shorter service life than a Roxil-protected one.
Roxil Wood Protection Liquid stops wood expansion and results in a more stable and longer-lasting structure.
Mould and algae grow in wet conditions on the surface of wood. Repeated instances of mould and algae growth, however, can lead to wood discolouration that is difficult to get rid of.
Excessive biological growth can also cause wooden decking and steps to become slippery hazards.
Roxil Wood Protection Liquid keeps wood dry to greatly reduce mould and algae growth. Wood looks good and stays clean without time and effort.
Apply Roxil Wood Preserver prior to Roxil Wood Protection Liquid in areas where increased protection against mould and algae is needed. Prepare, preserve and protect.
A single two-coat application of Roxil Wood Protection Liquid will protect timber from the effects of moisture ingress for around 10 years². Many competing products only make claims of protection for 1 to 2 years.
Roxil Wood Protection Liquid can be used in conjunction with Roxil Wood Preserver for added protection from fungal attack and internal rot issues. The Roxil Wood Preserver high-strength formula penetrates deep into wood and prepares the surface for Roxil Wood Protection Liquid application.

Before application, brush the surface to remove any loose material. Some light sanding may be necessary to remove any rough areas or edges.
Surrounding areas such as gravel boards, slab or stone patios, plants, paint etc., should be well protected from splashes and over-spray. Any splashes should be cleaned away immediately with warm soapy water.
For best results, the wood surface should be cleansed with Roxil 100 Wood & Patio Cleaner prior the application of Roxil Liquid. Allow the wood to dry after cleaning.
Shake well then fill the 5-litre pressure sprayer with Roxil Liquid, replace the plunger, tighten securely and pressurise.
Spray the first coat, starting at the top and spraying from side-to-side. Move downward, spraying through the runoff. Roxil Liquid can also be applied by brush.
The second coat should be applied whilst the first coat is still wet – typically within 30 minutes depending on the temperature.
After 24 – 48 hours the wood will have returned to its original appearance and will be resistant to the harmful effects of water ingress.
