Safeguard Europe is proud to announce the launch of the Drybase Tanking Range. This collection of high-quality cementitious waterproofing materials enables users to carry out tanking jobs in both above-ground and basement waterproofing situations. These well-established tanking formulations have been used on jobs of all sizes, from isolated damp walls in domestic properties to large commercial basement and tunnel projects.
There are five main products in the Drybase Tanking Range. Each of the materials in the range fulfils a specific purpose and they are designed to fully integrate with Safeguard’s other products as part of a waterproofing specification. The available materials include:
A highly versatile and BBA-approved waterproof tanking slurry for general-purpose waterproofing on a wide range of surfaces including concrete and masonry surfaces. Drybase Tanking Slurry has been tested for water resistance up to a 6-metre head of water and is suitable for use in both active and passive water pressure situations.
A high-build and abrasion-resistant waterproofing slurry for application to concrete and masonry surfaces. Drybase Universal Mortar can be built up to a layer thickness of 6 – 12 mm and is highly resistant to water pressure, making it ideal for small single-coat waterproofing jobs. Its high level of abrasion resistance also means it can be used as a fillet on floor/wall junctions.
A penetrative and BBA-approved single-coat waterproofer for direct application to concrete surfaces. Drybase Crystalline Active Tanking Slurry is advantageous for large jobs because of its high coverage per kg. The active crystalline formulation reacts with the free-lime and the moisture within the concrete’s capillary tracts to form crystalline complexes, providing in-depth waterproofing of concrete structures.
A liquid polymer that is added to Drybase Tanking Slurry to form an elasticised waterproofing slurry known as Drybase Elasticised Tanking Slurry, providing elasticity and enhanced crack-bridging properties to the waterproofing slurry, which has been successfully tested up to 7 bar.
A cementitious, ready-mixed and rapid-setting compound for stopping active water leaks. The mixed compound is simply pressed into the leaking crack or hole using a trowel and within 30 seconds Drybase Waterproof Plug will have set and the leak will be sealed.
The Drybase Tanking Range can be incorporated into a variety of different specifications including as part of basement waterproofing and flood resistance systems. Call on 01403 602142 to get information on prices, technical specifications and supply.
