Online Half-Day Damp-Proofing Training Course

This four hour online training course provides attendees with an understanding of the causes, symptoms and solutions for penetrating damp, rising damp, condensation and mould, with a focus on identification and solutions to these issues.

Limited to a small group to encourage interaction and discussion, attendees have the opportunity to ask questions and to discuss dampness with both fellow attendees and the Course Leader.

The course costs only £30 per person and is held via Google Meet.

Course content:

• Identification: Overview of how to correctly identify the three main types of dampness above ground and typical causes of damp and mould issues in buildings.
• Types of Damp: Examining the three main types of dampness: condensation, rain penetration and rising damp, and their impacts on building components.
• Treatment: Reviewing methods of repair, suitable remedial actions and treatment methods for the different forms of dampness.
• Other subjects discussed include: The importance of correct identification; warranties and guarantees; when things go wrong - why product preparation and application guidelines are important.

As the course is less formal than our other webinars and RIBA approved CPDs, discussion and interaction between attendees is encouraged!
