Unlike traditional patio and paving preservers that create a sheen or 'wet look', Roxil Patio Cream penetrates and bonds deep into the substrate causing no visible alteration to the surface appearance.
24 hours after application the paving will have returned to its natural appearance. Over the course of the next few weeks, water-repellency will develop and visible beading will occur on the patio or paving surface during light rain showers.
A single coat of Roxil Patio Cream will migrate deep into the surface of the substrate, reducing biological growth and the need to clean. By removing the need to frequently pressure wash, surface wear and damage to mortar joints will be reduced. The waterproofing effect will reduce moisture content and prevent damage that can occur from the freeze/thaw cycles.
By waterproofing the substrate Roxil Patio Cream will dramatically limit the growth of hard to remove penetrating moss and lichen. Although the waterproofing will last in excess of 10 years, some surface growth may still appear, particularly in areas where water is able to collect and pool. Any surface growth can easily be removed on a yearly basis by soft washing with Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner.
Brush away any loose debris from the area to be treated. If cleaning is necessary, it is recommended to use Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner.
Apply small amounts of Roxil Patio Cream directly to a section of the treatment area and distribute evenly using a brush or roller before repeating the process on the next section.
Allow the cream to absorb into the stonework / patio slabs for 24 hours until they appear dry. See the technical datasheet for more information.
Easy to apply. Clear instructions for its use. Make sure no rain is forecast.
Great product, easy to apply and appears to seal concrete snd Indian stone flags well. Will see how it looks after the next winter
How soon after applying Roxil Patio Cream can I walk on the treated surface?
Once Roxil Patio Cream has been applied, do not walk on the substrate for at least 36 hours as this may lead to marks and footprints, even if the product appears to have been fully cured and is touch dry.
What can I do about Roxil Patio Cream pooling on the surface once applied?
During the curing process, pooling of the Roxil Patio Cream may be noted in recesses, fissures, cracks and joints: these are nothing to be concerned about and should be left to dry out naturally. It is inadvisable to attempt to brush out the pools as this may lead to marks on the substrate.
Can Roxil Patio Cream be used on walls?
No, Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream should be used to waterproof vertical surfaces.
