What preparation of surfaces is necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your question.

Before application of wood preservatives it is recommended to first remove the source of the moisture and any rotten timbers should be removed and replaced.

ProBor® 10.1 Wood Preservative Liquid is intended for application to unpainted, unvarnished timber. Remove all coatings such as varnish and paint before application and all surfaces should be cleaned of dust as far as practically possible.
