The Steps to Pest Control Success

  • Empty the room of people and animals (including fish).

  • Place smoke bomb(s) on a heat-resistant surface (such as an old baking tray no longer used for cooking).

  • Close all windows.

Hi,
How long should the bomb smoke for? I've just set one off to kill flies, there appears to be no smoke coming out of it after 20 seconds, is that right?

Also, how long should I keep my dog away for, he's going to be at my parents house for the next 48 hours, is that long enough?

Final question, should I wash all fabrics in the house clothes, bedding towels etc. after I re-enter?

Hi Pete,

Thank you for getting in touch. .

The smoke bomb should start to smoke fairly instantly after being lit however it is worth noting that the smoke that then will start to come from the bomb will not appear as aggressive plumes as may be expected.

We advise that the property is vacated for a minimum of 2 hours, this includes yourself and all pets including fish. It is also important to ensure that the property is then well ventilated before re-entering.

There may be a slight residual smell to fabrics after use, if you are going to wash them we would advise that this is done on the highest heat possible.
