Dryzone System for Faster Replastering

Published on 21st Feb 2013

21st February 2013 – The new Dryzone System from Safeguard Europe offers a faster way to replaster after treating rising damp – in just 24 hours.

The breathable, swifter way to replaster is used in conjunction with the patented Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream for rising damp. The new Dryzone System lets you install ordinary plasterboard directly over damp and salt contaminated walls by first priming the wall with Dryshield Cream and then using Drygrip Adhesive to bond the plasterboard to the wall.

The Dryzone System is as effective as a sand:cement render but cleaner, quicker and less expensive to install per m2. It allows the use of cement-based plasters to be avoided when treating rising damp on heritage projects. An air gap is also created, creating a warmer final surface and helping to minimise potential condensation issues.

More information is available on our Dryzone System webpage. A new RIBA-approved CPD seminar on Rising Damp: Causes and Treatment is also available free-of-charge to specifiers and surveyors.
