Good afternoon,
Thank you for your question.
Roxil® Enhanced Decking Oil is a solvent based oil liquid that enhances the natural colour of pine, larch, cedar and other softwoods. It provides a breathable waterproof surface lining film that can reduce water ingress by up to 75%. A biocide is included to protect the film from damage caused by mould.
For the product application to be successful, all timbers to be treated must be clean and free from any previous treatments. It will depend on the service life of the previous product, and how long that takes to break down. It might be prudent to sand the timbers, prior to application.
Kind regards,

Hi, I've been using Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking oil (water based) on my decks for the last few years. But I'd like to try this Roxil Enhanced decking oil (is it water based, I used to use non-water based products years ago). I last treated the decks in May 25. Other than a wash with a pressure washer scrubber is there anything else I'd need to do? Will the Roxil work on the year old and worn out Ronseal? Thanks.
